CANCELLED: NUEL Live is coming to Insomnia66

This event has now been cancelled. Please refer to the announcement here:

We’re delighted to reveal that this year’s NUEL Live will take place on its own dedicated stage at Insomnia66!

Insomnia is the UK’s largest gaming festival and takes place at the NEC in Birmingham, expecting over 60,000 attendees from 10th to 13th April. Our live finals will be held throughout the weekend alongside the exhibition.

It has been a record-breaking season for The NUEL, with over 6,000 students in more than 1,000 teams taking part. We’re so excited to work with Insomnia to provide a platform for the top university teams from around the UK to show their skills – and showcase UK university esports – to a wider audience.

Finals for the following games will take place over the course of the event:

  • League of Legends
  • Overwatch
  • CS:GO
  • Magic the Gathering: Arena
  • Teamfight Tactics
  • Clash Royale
  • Rainbow Six: Siege

An array of grand prizes will be on offer, including all expenses paid trips to the LEC in Berlin for the League of Legends champions, to ESL One Cologne for the winners of CS:GO, and more.

The finals will be broadcast live on Twitch and we’re planning to run other activities throughout the weekend. Follow us on Twitter for NUEL Live updates.

You can find more information and tickets for Insomnia66 here (NUEL Live finalists will get a free ticket for the day they’re competing, of course!).
