The partnership will see Red Bull UK providing increased support for student esports and gaming on campuses across the UK.
The aim of this new partnership is to help students level up their events through access to resources provided by Red Bull UK. This includes equipment, drinks, qualification to tournaments, and workshop opportunities.
By hosting student events, the Red Bull Gaming Sphere in Shoreditch offers societies the opportunity to develop an engaged community. One example is LANdon, a collaboration between several London universities that takes place at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere. The Sphere also plays host to NUEL events, such as The NUEL x Riot Games Student Summit in Summer and NUEL Live.
“We will continue working with Red Bull UK to develop new opportunities to help students grow, build communities, and have fun.”JOSH WILLIAMS
With Red Bull UK, we will be bringing even more events and tournaments to students across the UK. This includes Red Bull Kumite qualifiers for Street Fighter, Red Bull R1v1r Runes for Dota 2. Red Bull Player One, also hosted by The NUEL, recently sent Newcastle University student Haseeb ‘BlueSpiritsLoL’ Rasool to the world finals in São Paulo!
“Red Bull UK shares our vision for supporting the development of student esports. We’re delighted to be working even more closely with them to create exciting new experiences.” said Josh Williams, founder and Managing Director of The NUEL. “We will continue working with Red Bull UK to develop new opportunities to help students grow, build communities, and have fun.”
